Although The Strokes new album, Angles, won't release until March 22nd, you can download the track now (in exchange for your email) at their site.
You might recognize Barbara Gruska as Jenny Lewis' former drummer. Keyword former. Leaving behind her drums, at least temporarily, Barbara and her brother Ethan are currently collaborating as The Belle Brigade.
Their album is due April 19th via Warner Brothers, but for now you can head over to their site to stream three more songs.
If the very mention of country music makes you cringe, let Caitlin Rose be the one to unfurrow your brows. Rose pens her songs with sincerity and pairs them with infectious and unfussy guitar phrasings.

The Head and the Heart describe themselves as a band that speaks "to the newness of a fresh start, of the ghosts left behind, of moving forward, all brimming with a soulfulness and hope for a better life than the one we've all been sold." Ambitions aside, this Northwest six-piece certainly lives up to its promises. They deliver the most honest of lyrics alongside folksy melodies and foot stomps.
